EDP TEAM TRIP

European Development Program (EDP) Team Trip

1.OVERVIEW

The EDP Team Trip  is a service IFF provides under IFF’s European Development Program to the most ambitious elite players who want to play matches against European clubs.

Note: For existing club teams, there is also a magnificent and more comprehensive option which is joining Global Image Sports (GIS) Travel Tours. These tours can be customized to specific dates and countries and you can select a variety of options like playing games, practicing at pro academies, attending 1st team games, visiting their stadium etc.  Click here for more information.

2.TRIP DESCRIPTION

The trip will usually last about 5-7 days and during that time the EDP teams will play 3-6 matches against academy teams from amateur or professional clubs.

IFF main goal is to fit this trip right before or after one of the GIS’s Elite Trips so the player can have a total experience in Europe practicing at and within the corresponding pro academy and also playing matches.

3.WHO CAN ATTEND THE EDP Team Trip?

Elite players who would like to join an EDP Team Trip can contact IFF (208-713-8924) so we can come to watch them during a league or tournament match with their club for possible inclusion on the EDP team trip.

Invitations are also extended to players who have attended the IFF Identification Camps in Idaho with one of our European Pro Clubs and have been selected for the GIS National Camp or have been invited directly to Europe to the GIS Elite Trip.

4.TRIP COST

The team trip cost oscillates approximately between $300-$600 per player, which includes only playing the matches.

Families are responsible for all other expenses including transportation, accommodations, meals etc. as well as the uniforms and other apparel (see below).

The breakdown of the cost is as follow:

(1) Base Fee

3-4 matches: $300/player

5-6 matches: $500/player

(2) Additional Fee

There will be a $50 additional fee per player for each match played against a pro academy team if their professional first team is in the 1st or 2nd tear of the specific country’s league. If the pro team qualified for the European Champions League that year, the fee is $100 instead.

5. IFF EDP TEAM APPAREL

The uniforms mock ups and their pricing will be published before December 31st, 2017. This cost is not included in the trip fee.

6. EDP TRAINING

Before the trip to Europe (some time between January and March), IFF will conduct several training sessions (included in the price) to get all the players together and do some work to prepare them for the games. These sessions will mainly focus on speed of play.
